Intellectual Bohemian, the Podcast, called “Intellectual Bohemian Speaks”

The aim is to deliver a weekly show on things happening in my life. These should cover:

  • My adventures and encounters whilst teaching,
  • My views on “life, the universe and everything”,
  • Things happening in my life and family,
  • Christianity, specifically, related to homilies, services and assemblies that I give in school, and other issues and reflections relating to Christianity.

I hope the first show should be up and running in the next week. This should also coincide with the start of a new term in school, and the launch of the FlatPlanet Wiki and Project.

Hope to be “speaking” to you soon

Your Movie Buff Quotient: 88%

You are a movie buff of the most obsessive variety. If a movie exists, chances are that you’ve seen it.
You’re an expert on movie facts and trivia. It’s hard to stump you with a question about film.

Seems like I’m quite the buff. Though I still need to see Citizen Kane and Annie Hall.

Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2007.

We welcomed the New Year in a quiet homely fashion. Hazel was has had the last few days and so she rested while I played games and watched TV. The highlight of the evening for me was playing Star Wars DVD Trivial Pursuit, I did not bad, in the game I played I got 3 wrong out 30 and most of those were on Episodes 2 and 3, the weakness in my Star Wars knowledge.

At around midnight Hazel got up and came through to see in the New Year. We followed one of her family traditions, where we open the back doors and usher the old year out, then open the front doors and welcome the New Year in.

Last year was a trying one for both of us. Hazel was finally diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, was accepted for disability benefits, and has had to change some of her medications due to side effects with the ones that were working for her. I managed to get cellulitis up my right hand, arm and chest, repeated tendonitis or my right wrist, eye infections and viral pericarditis. The highlights of the year were holidays to Brighton, and welcoming both Brandy and Mal into our family. They were both rescue cats and have now settled into the family really well.

We are looking forward to 2007, because despite the hardships of 2006, we still hold on to and cherish the good memories.

The Happy Family
